BGS Weapon Tuning
This weapon tuning script gives you the power to tweak almost* every aspect of weapon behavior in RedM. Here’s what you can do:
Adjust Fire Rate:
- Slow down the fire rate of any gun. Whether you're looking to make a weapon feel more powerful with slower, deliberate shots or just trying to balance things out, you’ve got control.
Modify Reload Speed:
- You can slow down how fast guns reload, adding a layer of strategy. Players will need to think twice before going into a fight with a slow-reloading weapon!
Change Ammo Damage:
- Customize the damage for any ammo type, whether it's for guns, bows, or some thrown weapons. This means you can make certain ammo types more or less powerful, depending on what you're going for.
Edit Melee Animation Speed:
- Adjust how fast melee attacks are performed. This lets you make weapons feel heavier or lighter, adding a different vibe to close combat.
Tweak Weapon and Lock-On Range:
- Control how far weapons can shoot effectively and how close you need to be to lock onto targets. Perfect for fine-tuning gameplay and making certain weapons excel at different ranges.
Change Holster Attach Points:
- Customize where weapons are holstered or attached to characters. This adds a bit of flair and can make characters look more realistic or just more badass.
Adjust Damage Modifiers for Headshots and Limbs:
- You can change how much extra damage is dealt with headshots or hits to limbs. This is great for making combat feel more realistic or just to up the stakes in a firefight.
Set Critical Hit Chance:
- Define how often critical hits happen, giving you the option to make combat more unpredictable and exciting.
Customize Weapon Force:
- Tweak the general force of weapons and the specific force when hitting NPCs. This includes adjusting knockback or push effects, which can make battles feel more dynamic.
Edit Projectile Speed:
- Change how fast bullets or arrows travel. This can be useful for adjusting weapon realism or just making things more challenging.
Adjust Magazine Size:
- Modify how many rounds a gun can hold before needing to reload. This is a great way to balance out powerful weapons by limiting their ammo capacity.
*General damage modifiers for melee and thrown weapons can not be altered, however some options are present for all thrown weapons except for dynamite, molotovs, and poison bottles, as they can offer no meaningful changes through streamable files. When that situation changes, I will add damage modification for those items into the script as well.
